The process includes 400 bar triple internal washing and vacuuming, as well as leak-testing, re-sealing, etc. This guarantee makes second-hand IBCs a viable option for companies looking to save money and achieve sustainability goals, without wishing to take any risks with regard to quality. Reconditioned IBCs are non-food grade.
Fully reconditioned IBCs are suitable for non food grade products, such as industrial chemicals, adhesives, lubricants, paints, coatings and waste etc.

Irish regulations
Installation & requirements
OFTEC regulation
All domestic oil tank installations in Ireland must be carried out by an OFTEC-registered technician. The tank must conform to IS:293 and be sited in accordance with IS:820.
Site requirements
The tank must stand on a level, load-bearing concrete base minimum 100 mm thick, extending 300 mm beyond the tank footprint on all sides. Ground must be clear of vegetation.
Bunding requirements
Bunded tanks are required within 10 m of a watercourse or drain. Secondary containment must hold 110% of the inner tank capacity. Check local planning conditions before installation.
