The Mini CAT 5 system by DPT can be applied at installations where a short disconnection of the water network is requires or is mandatory. The most important reason to use a disconnection tank is to prevent the contamination of the water supply by the presence of substances in the event of back-flow of the water.
The security between the drink water supply and the indoor water network is sometimes legally mandatory. The EN1717 provides a number of technical possibilities. Using water of safety class 5, such as rainwater, grey water, stagnant water, or water of unknown origin is a “free range” mandatory.
The Mini CAT 5 is conform the EN1717 and has a type AB Break. Also, the Break tank is equipped with a silent prefab pump which ensures a continues water pressure for all connections. The Mini CAT 5 is Belgaqua and KIWA certified.

Irish regulations
Installation & requirements
OFTEC regulation
All domestic oil tank installations in Ireland must be carried out by an OFTEC-registered technician. The tank must conform to IS:293 and be sited in accordance with IS:820.
Site requirements
The tank must stand on a level, load-bearing concrete base minimum 100 mm thick, extending 300 mm beyond the tank footprint on all sides. Ground must be clear of vegetation.
Bunding requirements
Bunded tanks are required within 10 m of a watercourse or drain. Secondary containment must hold 110% of the inner tank capacity. Check local planning conditions before installation.
