Our super-efficient forecourt separator provide the ideal solution for potential spillages likely to occur during vehicle refuelling and road tanker delivery. Use this forecourt separators to comply with safety and environmental criteria.
Performance
- Operation ensures that the flow cannot exit the unit without first passing through the coalescer assembly on this forecourt separator.
- In normal operation, the forecourt separator has sufficient capacity to provide storage for separated pollutants within the main chamber, but is also able to contain up to 7,600 litres of pollutant arising from the spillage of a fuel delivery tanker compartment on the petrol forecourt.
- The forecourt separator has been designed with an automatic closure device to ensure that oil cannot exit the forecourt separator in the event of a major spillage. Subsequently the forecourt separator should be emptied immediately.

Installation
The forecourt separator unit should be installed on a suitable concrete base slab and surrounded with concrete or pea gravel backfill. If the forecourt separator is to be installed in a trafficked area, then a suitable cover slab must be designed to ensure that loads are not transmitted to the unit. Installation is subject to Local Authority requirements.

*DELIVERY TERMS
All tanks are delivered on 45ft Flat-bed Articulated Trailers, so off-loading equipment on site is necessary.
HIAB off-loading is available at extra cost, if requested.
It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us, if off-loading equipment is required.
Service and Maintenance:
It is essential that you ensure your separator is properly serviced and maintained to remain compliant with EN 858-1 standard and prevent pollution due to blockages. Kingspan's service and maintenance packages have been developed using their expert knowledge of their separators to help keep your separator operating at optimal efficiency, therefore remaining non-polluting and compliant. Irish regulations
Installation & requirements
OFTEC regulation
All domestic oil tank installations in Ireland must be carried out by an OFTEC-registered technician. The tank must conform to IS:293 and be sited in accordance with IS:820.
Site requirements
The tank must stand on a level, load-bearing concrete base minimum 100 mm thick, extending 300 mm beyond the tank footprint on all sides. Ground must be clear of vegetation.
Bunding requirements
Bunded tanks are required within 10 m of a watercourse or drain. Secondary containment must hold 110% of the inner tank capacity. Check local planning conditions before installation.
