COMPACT UV EFFLUENT FILTER

The Compact UV Effluent Filter is designed with an integrated effluent filter to protect the UV lamp from excess solids. It reduces bacteria levels from secondary effluent. Every component of the compact effluent filter is engineered and constructed to provide reliable disinfection and superior operational life. UV disinfection is routinely used in ecological sensitive areas where residuals from chemical disinfection might possibly create problems in the receiving environment. Harmful pathogens and other contaminants, including some that are resistant to chemical disinfection, are rendered completely harmless by the reliable performance of the Compact UV Effluent Filter.

Installation & requirements

OFTEC regulation

All domestic oil tank installations in Ireland must be carried out by an OFTEC-registered technician. The tank must conform to IS:293 and be sited in accordance with IS:820.

Site requirements

The tank must stand on a level, load-bearing concrete base minimum 100 mm thick, extending 300 mm beyond the tank footprint on all sides. Ground must be clear of vegetation.

Bunding requirements

Bunded tanks are required within 10 m of a watercourse or drain. Secondary containment must hold 110% of the inner tank capacity. Check local planning conditions before installation.
