This Carbery 1350L Vertical Bunded Oil Tank consists of a ‘tank within a tank’. Fuel is stored in the inner tank, whilst the outer tank acts as a failsafe in case of a spill, significantly reducing the risk of an environmental pollution incident. Carbery Bunded tanks are HVO compatible.

Irish regulations
Installation & requirements
OFTEC regulation
All domestic oil tank installations in Ireland must be carried out by an OFTEC-registered technician. The tank must conform to IS:293 and be sited in accordance with IS:820.
Site requirements
The tank must stand on a level, load-bearing concrete base minimum 100 mm thick, extending 300 mm beyond the tank footprint on all sides. Ground must be clear of vegetation.
Bunding requirements
Bunded tanks are required within 10 m of a watercourse or drain. Secondary containment must hold 110% of the inner tank capacity. Check local planning conditions before installation.
