This 2700L Carat RS septic tanks uses a mechanical cleaning processes. Septic tanks are used for the collection and settlement of domestic sewage for domestic dwellings without access to mains drainage.
To calculate the volume of the tank, you need 500L of capacity per inhabitant. If you assume a volume of 150L, the wastewater passes through the system in 3 days. These septic tanks must have a total volume of at least 2,000L which is sufficient for 4 inhabitants. Each additional inhabitant will add another 500L to your tank volume.
Comes with pedestrian cover lid.

Irish regulations
Installation & requirements
OFTEC regulation
All domestic oil tank installations in Ireland must be carried out by an OFTEC-registered technician. The tank must conform to IS:293 and be sited in accordance with IS:820.
Site requirements
The tank must stand on a level, load-bearing concrete base minimum 100 mm thick, extending 300 mm beyond the tank footprint on all sides. Ground must be clear of vegetation.
Bunding requirements
Bunded tanks are required within 10 m of a watercourse or drain. Secondary containment must hold 110% of the inner tank capacity. Check local planning conditions before installation.
