500L WATER HIGHWAY BOWSER
This 500 litre water bowser is suitable for the transport and storage of potable water (drinking water) or grey water (waste water) fitted into a fully approved highway towable water bowser trailer. For drinking water (potable water) the tank needs to be constructed from a specialist blue polyethylene which is fully secretary of state approved. Other colours are available for grey water.
Tank:
- Polyethylene moulded tank, elliptical in section, baffled
- Fitted with an 18" lockable outer hinged manlid cover
- Inner sealed vented manlid
- Tank secured to chassis with 2 stainless steel straps
- 1 rear tap fitted
- 2 rear outlets
- Poly tank in yellow, green, red or blue. Drinking water blue tank only

Irish regulations
Installation & requirements
OFTEC regulation
All domestic oil tank installations in Ireland must be carried out by an OFTEC-registered technician. The tank must conform to IS:293 and be sited in accordance with IS:820.
Site requirements
The tank must stand on a level, load-bearing concrete base minimum 100 mm thick, extending 300 mm beyond the tank footprint on all sides. Ground must be clear of vegetation.
Bunding requirements
Bunded tanks are required within 10 m of a watercourse or drain. Secondary containment must hold 110% of the inner tank capacity. Check local planning conditions before installation.
