What makes this Cistern the right choice?
3,000L Platin Retention Cistern
The Platin Retention Cistern is an innovative dual-purpose rainwater system that seamlessly integrates stormwater management with rainwater harvesting in a single underground tank. This system is expertly designed to reduce the burden on sewer systems during heavy rainfall, employing a floating drain choke to control the release of excess water into the drainage channel at a regulated rate of 0.05 to 2.0 litres per second, tailored to specific site needs.
Water stored below the short-term maximum level is readily available for reuse, facilitated by a pressure-sensitive submersible pump that activates when a tap is turned on and deactivates once it is closed. Additionally, the system includes an emergency overflow feature to safeguard against severe weather conditions.
Constructed from 100% recycled plastic, the low-profile Platin tank can be easily installed with basic gravel backfill, which not only minimizes installation costs but also makes it compatible with various Irish soil conditions.
It is offered in sizes ranging from 3,000 to 7,500 litres. By merging retention and rainwater harvesting capabilities, this system can significantly reduce mains water consumption by up to 50%, providing water for applications such as garden irrigation, outdoor cleaning, toilet flushing, and laundry.
